About Gomez-Hall Associates
​Guillermo Gomez has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City, and a Master's of Marine Affairs from the School of Marine Affairs at the University of Washington, in Seattle, WA.  He is also HACCP certified.  In addition to over 20 years as a fisheries and trade consultant with Gomez-Hall Associates, Mr. Gomez has held several positions in the Ministry of Fisheries of Mexico, including Director of the Division of International Fisheries Policy, and Advisor to the Minister. He has also served as International Tuna Specialist for the Marine Stewardship Council; Coordinator for Strategic Planning at the Mexican National Bank for Fisheries and Ports (BANPESCA); and Vice-President for Business Development for a US/Mexico toll packing program with a Mexican cannery.
Gomez-Hall Associates is a small company with a global reach. Founded originally in Mexico City in 1987 and operating in the U.S. since 1991, Gomez-Hall Associates has provided management advice to a wide variety of international clients.  Gomez-Hall Associates’ principals, Guillermo Gomez and Stacy Hall, founders of the company, jointly have over 40 years of experience in the field of fisheries, seafood processing and trade. Both have held positions of extensive responsibility in fisheries management and conservation policy for both small scale and internationally complex fisheries. In addition, the company draws expertise from its core group of associates to provide clients the best advice in related fields such as food technology and sanitation, seafood processing plant engineering, ports, vessel design and operations, and aquaculture.
Stacy Hall has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and a Master's of Marine Affairs fromt he School of Marine Affairs at the University of Washington, in Seattle, WA.   In addition to her years with Gomez-Hall Associates, she has worked for 7 years as an environmental planner and project manager with an environmental planning firm in San Diego, CA.  Ms. Hall also served as Staff Economist and Salmon Plan Coordinator at the Pacific Fisheries Management Council in Portland, OR, as well as Economic Analyst at the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission in Juneau, AK, and Chief of Fisheries Projects for the consulting firm Servicios de Fomento Industrial (Industrial Development Services) in Mexico City.
